Polyrhachis furcata

Polyrhachis furcata is an average size ant (between 5 to 10 millimeters) with pronounced curving spines on the first (pronotum) and third (metanotum) thoracic segments and the petiole. This species is monomorphic and arboreal weaving a nest with ant silk and plant matter.
